DC Thomson Newspapers selects TARK4 Digital Asset Management solution from Miles 33

August 2013, Bracknell, Berkshire, UK – Miles 33 is proud to announce that the DC Thomson newspaper business, a leading publishing house in the UK, has selected Miles 33 to deliver TARK4 for Picture Desk and Digital Asset Management.

The project has seen Miles 33 roll out the Digital Asset Management component of their GN4 Editorial Content Management suite of products.

The TARK4 picture desk asset management system has been used by DC Thomson since 1st July 2013. It features an unlimited number of read/write browser Clients and extra metadata. These elements will enable effective archive browsing for users and improve the search-ability of content.

The system supplied by Miles 33 receives picture feeds from third parties that are indexed using Exalead and made available via TARK4. DC Thomson will use the new picture desk facility for its Dundee-based newspapers and the automated archiving of newspaper content 48 hours after publishing.
