The automatic creation sizing and saving of ad documents reduces the instances of ads being miss-sized, or miss-filed.
Ads that have been copied from previous bookings are automatically copied forward to the new ad URN. This means production staff do not have to search for previous adverts and copy forward, the files are presented ready to work on. If the ad copied forward is a complete copy with no changes required, then Production Tracking handles the complete process with no intervention, saving production staff time.
Management screens allow production managers to monitor the status of products in real time. This eliminates the last minute searching for missing ads at page output.
Ads can be assigned to operators or teams. Operators are presented with a list of outstanding work assigned to them or their team reducing the need for them to look for suitable ads to work on.

Ads can be automatically proofed either direct to the customer, or to an appropriate staff member within your organization, helping to reduce credits for incorrect ads. Proofs are made available in real time to the customer via a secure web portal. This allows them to comment on or approve their advert empowering the customer and reducing the length of the proofing cycle. The comments are fed back in real time to the Production Tracking software along with an appropriate status change. The customer comments can then be seen as an annotated PDF file allowing swift correction of the ad.
Choose from a variety of Ad makeup packages. Production Tracking currently supports QuarkXpress (versions 4-7), Adobe InDesign (versions CS-CS4), Corel Draw (PC only) and Adobe Fireworks (version CS4). It also supports Multi-ad Creator on the Mac only.
Artwork can be housekept automatically using the Housekeeping Module. A powerful rule tree can be created giving you complete control over how long ads are kept on the system. This allows you to optimize the usage of your file storage by only keeping those ads that are likely to be needed again. For example you could delete motor dealer ads after a month, but keep other ads for six months and those in you Christmas features classifications for a year.
When housekept, ads are not deleted, but moved to an archive storage area and database links updated, so that the artwork can be restored to the live environment if required.
