The agreement allows Miles 33 to sell the LocalStars digital production services integrated into the FutureProof advertising system to publishers world-wide. The integrated solution will help publishers grow their digital advertising revenues by simplifying the end-to-end sales, ad creation and ad delivery process of high quality video and rich media ads.
LocalStars is the leading provider of cloud-based video advertising solutions in the UK and have a customer base that includes many of the top UK publishers. Video ads, Rich Media banner ads and bespoke video ads are all part of their offerings.
Fully integrated solution
The LocalStars video tools are integrated into the FutureProof system. Not only does this allow video and rich media ads to be sold with the same ease as online and print ads, they can also be part of multi-channel ad packages.
The solution is most notably streamlined when users take advantage of the 1000s of templated video ads offered by LocalStars. Covering many categories, the templates provide a pre-designed ad that can be personalised by adding or changing images, text, fonts, colours and other ad components. The easy-to-use user interface allows anyone to create video ads. As no design skills are required, the solution can be added to online sales and self service portals.
The ad creation process is fully web-based and the resulting ads are Flash/HTML5 compatible. Multiple formats, such as Leaderboards, MPU, Skyscraper, Banner and Video formats are all supported and are of high quality. Ad serving is accomplished through integration with common ad servers.
Full ad usage data is recorded providing insight into the number of impressions, clickthroughs, unique users, etc. Sales statistics are also recorded with reports available on “ads sold by rep”, “by website”, “by region”, etc.
Miles33 have teamed up with people4 to provide a refreshing cutting-edge new approach to online directory platforms.
Designed expressly for the web, and configured for high-performance SEO, the platform includes unique “Follow Me” facilities for managing communication between advertisers and customers, plus practical ratings functionality, all of which ensure that the site publisher holds a continuing valuable role in the trading relationship.
Self-service advertising models, including multi-tiered enhanced listing and preferred position drive new revenue opportunities alongside conventional direct sales packages. Plus, there’s a fully integrated iPhone app. Cost-per-click is being added in early 2012.
Already in use at the UK mainland’s only independent telephony group, Hull’s KCOM (www.colourpages.com) and awarded by the PPA as “UK Directory of the Year 2011”. The system can be delivered “straight-out-of-the-box” or customised. Either way, it is delivered using your branding, logos and cultural identity.
People4 also offer a branded online recruitment solution for the contractor or freelance sector with exciting new revenue models for fixed-fee and auction-based transactions. The platform has launched in multi-language form in Canada as www.4fmv.ca, demonstrating that this platform can be deployed immediately in any Latin-character language.
The platforms are available with a variety of purchasing options including low cost initial fee plus monthly hosting fees and revenue share.
MetroWest Daily News and the Milford Daily News have successfully gone live on their new GN4 Content Management system from Miles 33.
The first pages were published on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
The two papers, both Gatehouse Media companies, share a virtualised system, achieving important cost savings and ease of operations and allows the papers to standardise their operations and adopt best practice methodologies.
Richard Lodge, the Editor in Chief, announced the move to readers in an article which said “Our staff has been through intensive training on the new GN4 system, which couples editing, page design and preparing stories for publishing to our websites and social media. This upgrade is a major step, moving us into the 21st century while retiring a system that dates back to the 1980s”.
The new GN4 system sets a completely integrated picture and multi-media workflow solution in place with a single Content Management System that consolidates all editorial functions including archiving, wire feeds, website integration and enterprise-wide content searching.
The latest version of the FutureProof advertising system has been released.
Building upon a rich set, the latest developments have been primarily focused on helping publishers enhance and increase their revenue earning potential.
New features include the ability to book radio and TV ads, integrate cloud-based CRM systems, enhanced canvassing tools and improved customer communications options.
