June 2015, Miami, Florida – Miles 33 and GSI Media Group are proud to announce that Cruzeiro do Sul, the largest newspaper in Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil, is now fully live on their new digital edition for web, smartphone and tablet.
The Miles 33 VirtualNewspaper mobile publishing platform was implemented by GSI MediaGroup, the Miles 33 distributor for Latin America. The new digital edition represents a major step for the paper, as it targets new readers who would not normally read the printed editions, adding new audiences and opening a new market for their advertisers.
The digital editions dramatically enhance the news reading experience through the addition of multi media content such as video, audio, photo galleries and interactive links. The accompanying website was also redesigned, complementing the mobile experience, offering beautiful, graphically rich content.

The paper hopes to attract new, young, audiences in the 20s and 30s as well as the more traditional readers. The new digital edition is available on smartphones and tablets using Android, iPhones and iPads, laptops and desktops.
The digital edition of Cruzeiro do Sul, is free for subscribers of the printed edition. Digital-only subscriptions are sold online with an introductory, discounted, price and the ability to pay in 10 interest-free installments. The digital edition was launched with a campaign offering two months free access, maximizing exposure and letting everyone experience the new editions.

Cruzeiro do Sul was founded on June 12, 1903 and is the largest newspaper in the Metropolitan Region of Sorocaba city, São Paulo, Brazil which encompasses 26 cities and counties. It is published seven-days-a-week.
