Asset FAQs

I already have a web CMS. Can I still use Asset for editorial workflow.

Absolutely. Asset is modular, so you can use it for all elements of your content workflow, or choose just the modules you need to work with existing systems such as editorial, web CMS or archives. Asset uses standards such as RSS and Xml for content interchange, so integration with third party systems is easy.

How is Asset licensed?

Asset is licensed according to the number of processors used on the central server or servers. This means that you don't have any client fees, so if you add another user, you have no additional cost other than any third party software you may require.

I publish in three languages: English, Chinese and Arabic. Can I use Asset for all three.

Yes, Asset works in any language, and you can even mix languages in an article.

I have a news driven web site, but no paper publication, although I may add one in the future. Can I use Asset just for the web?

Asset is ideal in this situation. It delivers full web CMS capabilities, and if you decide to add print at a later date, you simply need to add purchase the plug-ins for Adobe InDesign to use the same content for print.

I have a mix of PC's and Apple Macintoshes in my company. Can I use Asset?

Yes, Asset works with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari, and the plug-ins for Adobe InDesign work on both PC and Mac.
