Miles 33 Announces
Preferred Supplier Agreement with GateHouse Media
NORWALK, CT, Jan. 29, 2008— Miles 33 announces today that it has signed
a Preferred Supplier Agreement with GateHouse Media for Advertising, Ad
Tracking, and A/R solutions.
In
conjunction with the agreement Miles 33 announced three new orders including
Gatehouse Media’s Observer Dispatch (Utica, NY), Norwich Bulletin (Norwich,
CT), and Rockford Register Star (Rockford, IL).
“Our
need to cluster newspapers within regional datacenters led us to Miles 33”,
said Paul Ameden, Chief Information Officer for GateHouse Media. “Miles has a
strong track record for supporting multiple weeklies and dailies on a single
datacenter. The three dailies mentioned above will sit on a Rochester, NY
datacenter, while all personnel will reside at their local facilities.”
Prior to this agreement Miles 33 has had a large clustered installation hosting 130 dailies and weeklies for GateHouse Media New England in Needham, MA, with satellite production facilities around the region for ad creation, classified page makeup and retail layout. The success of the Miles 33 installation at GateHouse Media New England was a strong factor leading to the Preferred Supplier Agreement between the two companies.

This agreement represents another milestone in Miles 33’s growth in the US, and comes on the back of a large order from Dominion Enterprises in Norfolk, VA last month.
