Capital Newspapers Selects Miles 33 for Advertising and A/R

NORWALK, CT - October 20th—Capital Newspapers, publisher of six daily newspapers and 19 non-dailies, including the Wisconsin State Journal and The Capital Times, has purchased a new advertising and accounts receivable system from Miles 33.  The system will include classified and ROP sales, with built-in sales force automation, classified pagination and ROP layout, web order entry, web publishing and a suite of integrated accounting modules for A/R, invoicing and credit management. The integrated Miles system will eliminate interfaces between disparate systems and allow Capital Newspapers to go from four vendors to one.

Capital Newspaper’s tight geographic footprint covers a seventeen county area surrounding Madison, Wisconsin and lends itself to strong cross-selling opportunities across the region. Miles 33’s integrated database approach will allow sales to book ads in any title or combination of tiles from any location, providing new revenue opportunities for the company.

Capital Newspapers is owned by Lee Enterprises and the Capital Times. The installation is scheduled to go live this summer.
